Verily the tree of Zaqqum 43 Is food for the sinful. 44 like molten lead will it boil in the belly, 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 “Seize him and drag him to the middle of the Blazing Fire, 47 Then pour boiling water over his head as punishment. 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 "Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!" 50 Indeed the pious are in a place of peace. 51 amid gardens and springs, 52 dressed in fine silk and in rich brocade, and they will face each other: 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 They will call therein for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 THUS, THEN, [O Prophet,] have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own [human] tongue, so that men might take it to heart. 58 So you wait. They are also waiting. 59
