The Mountain (Al-Toor)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Mount; 1 and by the Scripture penned 2 on unrolled parchment, 3 And the House (Kaaba) that is visited, 4 By the roof elevated. 5 And the sea kept filled, 6 Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur. 7 and no one will be able to prevent it. 8 On the Day whereon the heaven will shake with an awful shaking. 9 The mountains move and fly away, 10 On that Day woe to those who belied 11 those who are in plunging, playing. 12 A day when they will be pushed, forcibly shoved towards the fire of hell. 13 (And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny. 14 Is this magic, or do ye not see? 15 [Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do." 16 Those who fear God and follow the straight path will surely be in gardens and in bliss, 17 Enjoying in that which their Lord has bestowed on them, and (the fact that) their Lord saved them from the torment of the blazing Fire. 18 Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did, 19 Reclining on thrones, in rows; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 20 And those who accepted faith, and whose descendants followed them with faith – We have joined their descendants with them, and have not reduced anything for them from their deeds; every soul is trapped in its own deeds. 21 And We shall provide them with fruit and meat, such as they desire. 22 while they pass therein a cup one to another wherein is no idle talk, no cause of sin, 23 ۞ Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded. 24 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 25 "Before this, when we were among our families, we were full of fear of God's displeasure -- 26 But Allah hath been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the breath of Fire. 27 Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful. 28
