Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
