The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness of all things. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Verily He! He it is who beginneth and repeateth it. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
Almighty Allah's Truth.
