Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall make easy unto thee the easy way. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 To happiness [in the life to come] will indeed attain he who attains to purity [in this world,] 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 Nay! you prefer the life of this world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Verily this is in Writs ancient 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
