Al-Shams
The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sun and his (glorious) splendour; 1 and the moon as it reflects the sun! 2 And the day when it shows it, 3 and by the night when it enshrouds him! 4 By the heaven and Who built it, 5 By the Earth and its (wide) expanse: 6 and by the soul and that (Power) which designed it 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 He who purifies it will indeed be successful, 9 And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. 10 The Thamud denied (the truth) in their perverseness 11 When the most wicked among them stood up in defiance. 12 then the Messenger of God said to them, 'The She-camel of God; let her drink!' 13 But they denied him and hamstrung her. So their Lord brought down upon them destruction for their sin and made it equal [upon all of them]. 14 He dreadeth not the sequel (of events). 15
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
