The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Recall, when Shuayb said to them: "Have you no fear? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear Allah and obey me. 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and (who created) the generations before (you)" 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 Shuayb said: "My Lord knows well all what you do." 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 191
