Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By oath of those which carry away while dispersing. 1 Then by oath of those which carry the burdens. 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 You are surely caught in contradictions., 8 Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 who flounder in the depths of ignorance. 11 They ask, “When will be the Day of Judgement?” 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The pious ones will live amidst gardens and springs, 15 Accepting the rewards given by their Lord; they were indeed virtuous before this. 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 and [would assign] in all that they possessed a due share unto such as might ask [for help] and such as might suffer privation. 19 For those with sure belief there are signs in the earth, 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 Then, by the Lord of heaven and earth, this is the very Truth, as much as the fact that ye can speak intelligently to each other. 23
