Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 Did He not find thee destitute and enrich (thee)? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

God the Almighty always says the truth.
