(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose the knot from my tongue, 27 (That) they may understand my word; 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 "That we may glorify You much, 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 He replied: 'Moses, your request is granted. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 Recall, when We indicated to your mother through inspiration: 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen you for Me. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 “Both of you go to Firaun; he has indeed rebelled.” 43 But speak gently to him; perhaps he may yet take heed or even feel afraid." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 He (Pharaoh) said: 'Moses, who is the Lord of you both' 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
