In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And by oath of those who herd with a stern warning. 2 And those who recite the message, 3 surely your God is One, 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily! We have adorned the near heaven with the stars (for beauty). 6 And to protect it from every rebellious devil. 7 They cannot listen to the higher group (angels) for they are pelted from every side. 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 but if anyone does succeed in snatching a glimpse [of such knowledge,] he is [henceforth] pursued by a piercing flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Aye! thou marvellest, and they scoff. 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 and whenever they see some sign, they ridicule it, 14 And they say, “This is nothing but clear magic.” 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)." 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 and they say, 'Woe, alas for us! This is the Day of Doom.' 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
