ART THOU NOT aware of how far they who call God's messages in question have lost sight of the truth? 69 those who reject the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers shall soon know -- 70 When the fetters and the chains shall be on their necks; they shall be dragged 71 into the boiling water, then into the Fire they are poured; 72 Then shall it be said to them: "Where are the (deities) to which ye gave part-worship- 73 "In derogation of Allah?" They will reply: "They have left us in the lurch: Nay, we invoked not, of old, anything (that had real existence)." Thus does Allah leave the Unbelievers to stray. 74 'That is because you rejoiced in the earth without right, and were exultant. 75 So enter the gates of Hell to abide in it for ever." How evil the abode of the arrogant! 76 HENCE, remain thou patient in adversity - for, verily, God's promise always comes true. And whether We show thee [in this world] something of what We hold in store for those [deniers of the truth,] or whether We cause thee to die [ere that retribution takes place - know that, in the end,] it is unto Us that they will be brought back. 77 Surely We have sent apostles before you, some of whose account We have related to you, and that of some We have not told you. But no apostle was given a miracle unless God dispensed. But when the decree of God comes the sentence is passed with justice; and the lovers of vice and vanity will then come to grief. 78
