Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 and indeed, We chose them knowingly above all other people, 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Yet these say: 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them in sport. 38 We created them with definite purpose; but most of them do not understand. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
