Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
