The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; 1 and by the promised Day, 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
