Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 And the night when dark and still, 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 The reward in the next life will certainly be better for you than worldly gains. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 Did He not find thee needy, and suffice thee? 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
