Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 No! You are going to know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 Then you will see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!). 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
