T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not revealed the Quran to you that you may be unsuccessful. 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 It is a revelation from the Creator of the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 And if thou speakest the word aloud, then verily He knoweth the secret and the most hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Moses? 9 Lo! he saw a fire [in the desert]; and so he said to his family: "Wait here! Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]: perhaps I can bring you a brand there from, or find at the fire some guidance." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen thee, so hearken unto that which is inspired. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. I almost conceal it, so that every soul will be recompensed for its labors. 15 So let not him who believeth not therein and followeth his own desire keep thee away therefrom lest thou perish. 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent, gliding. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious." 24
