The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 “And weigh with a proper balance.” 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 Fear Him who created you and those who have gone before you." 184 They said: You are only of those deluded; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Drop down on us lumps from heaven, if you are one of the truthful' 187 He said: "My Lord is the Best Knower of what you do." 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
