The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 And the earth bringeth forth her burthens, 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That Day, it will report its news 4 For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. 5 On that Day mankind will proceed in bands, that they may be shewn their works. 6 Whoever has done an atom's weight of good, will see it 7 And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. 8
