The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the heaven and the comer by night; 1 what do you know what the night-visitor is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Now, verily, He [who thus creates man in the first instance] is well able to bring him back [to life] 8 The Day that (all) things secret will be tested, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 surely it is a decisive word; 13 And it is no joke. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
