The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said: Lo! this is some knowing wizard, 109 Who would expel you from your land. Now what do ye advise? 110 They said, "Let him and his brother wait awhile, and send into the cities summoners, 111 to bring together at the Pharaohs court all the skillful magicians. 112 And the magicians came to Pharaoh and said: 'Shall we have a reward if we win?' 113 Answered [Pharaoh]: "Yes; and verily, you shall be among those who are near unto me." 114 So they said: "O Moses, you may cast your spell first, or we shall cast ours." 115 He answered: "You throw [first]." And when they threw down [their staffs,] they cast a spell upon the people's eyes, and struck them with awe, and produced mighty sorcery. 116 And We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Throw your stick," and behold! It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed. 117 ۞ So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing. 118 They were therefore defeated here and they turned back humiliated. 119 And the magicians were obliged to fall prostrate. 120 and said, "We believe in the Lord of the Universe, 121 "The Lord of Moses and Aaron." 122 Said Firaun, “You have accepted faith in Him before I gave you permission! This is indeed a grand conspiracy you have plotted in the city, in order to expel its people from it; so now you will come to know!” 123 I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides; then I will surely crucify you all." 124 They said: Lo! We are about to return unto our Lord! 125 Will you punish us just because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us? Our Lord! Shower us with perseverance and cause us to die as those who have submitted [to You].' 126

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
