And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 'My Lord' he replied, 'I fear they will belie me 12 “I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 (The Pharaoh) said: "Did we not bring you up as a child? And you lived a number of years of your life with us. 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
