Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And then they cast lots, and he was the one who lost; 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish until the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 and We caused a pumpkin tree to grow over him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand, rather they exceeded. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten children." They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring your Book if you are truthful! 157 They assert kinship between Him and the angels. But the angels know that they (the liars) will be arraigned (in Hell). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 160 So neither you nor those you worship 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 except those who are doomed to enter hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 "If only we had a tradition [to this effect] from our forebears, 168 We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones. 169 But they disbelieve in it (the Koran), but soon they shall know! 170 Our word had already been given before to Our votaries, the apostles, -- 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 Therefore turn away from them for some time. 174 And watch them (how they fare), and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
