Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your infidels better than these? Or is there an immunity for you in the Writs? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 The God-conscious will find themselves in gardens and rivers, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
