Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 The Last shall be better for you than the First. 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge? 6 Did He not find you wandering, and give you guidance? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
