5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
