And certainly We delivered the children of Israel from the abasing chastisement, 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 “There is nothing except our dying just once, and we will not be raised.” 35 So bring our fathers (back), if you are truthful. 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, out of play. 38 none of this have We created without [an inner] truth: but most of them understand it not. 39 Surely the day of separation is their appointed term, of all of them 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
