And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 when they will be dragged on their faces into the fire and will be told, "Feel the touch of hell". 48 We have indeed created all things by measure; 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
