And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We gave them Our signs, but they turned away from them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 Indeed, your Lord - He is the Knowing Creator. 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 Do not strain your eyes towards the worldly benefits We have bestowed on some of them, nor grieve on their account. Lower your wing of mercy for the believers 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 As We have sent down on the dividers, (Quraish pagans or Jews and Christians). 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 And worship your Lord until there comes to you the certainty (death). 99
