AND LO! [In the course of his wanderings,] Moses said to his servant: "I shall not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas, even if I [have to] spend untold years [in my quest]!" 60 But when they reached the junction between the two [seas,] they forgot all about their fish, and it took its way into the sea and disappeared from sight. 61 And after the two had walked some distance, [Moses] said to his servant: "Bring us our mid-day meal; we have indeed suffered hardship on this [day of] our journey!" 62 He said, 'What thinkest thou? When we took refuge in the rock, then I forgot the fish-and it was Satan himself that made me forget it so that I should not remember it -- and so it took its way into the sea in a manner marvellous.' 63 'This is what we have been seeking' said he, and they retraced their footsteps 64 Then they found one of Our slaves, unto whom We had bestowed mercy from Us, and whom We had taught knowledge from Us. 65 Moses asked him, "Can I follow you so that you would teach me the guidance that you have received?" 66 (The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" 67 "And how canst thou have patience about things about which thy understanding is not complete?" 68 Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." 69 "If you must follow me," he said, "do not ask me any thing until I speak of it to you myself." 70
