Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, the Mighty, the most Forgiving. 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 (And) you are turning aside from it: 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 it has only been revealed to me that I am a plain warner." 70 When your Lord said to the angels: “Verily I am creating a human being from clay. 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels bowed before him in a body, 73 but not Satan, who was too proud. He became one of those who deny the truth. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He (satan) replied: 'I am better than he. You created me from fire, and You created him from clay' 76 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state] - for, behold, thou art henceforth accursed, 77 And verily My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Requital, 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 [Whereupon Iblis] said: "Then [I swear] by Thy very might: I shall most certainly beguile them all into grievous error 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 and you shall surely know its tiding after a while.' 88
