I swear by that which ye see. 38 And what ye see not, 39 that this is the speech of an honourable Messenger, 40 It is not the word of a poet, little is that you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer (or a foreteller), little is that you remember! 42 It is a Revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, 44 We surely should have seized him by his right hand (or with power and might), 45 Then cut off his aorta, 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And verily, this [Qur'an] is a reminder to all the God-conscious! 48 And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it). 49 and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. 50 And lo! it is absolute truth. 51 So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. 52
