By the moon, 32 and the night when it retreats 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We did not fulfil our devotional obligations, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until death approached us". 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Yes indeed, this is an advice. 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
