The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 when the seas shall be set boiling, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and the night that falls, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 (With profit) to whoever among you wills to go straight: 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
