Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things. 1 He who has created death as well as life, so that He might put you to a test [and thus show] which of you is best in conduct, and [make you realize that] He alone is almighty, truly forgiving. 2 Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts? 3 Then return [your] vision twice again. [Your] vision will return to you humbled while it is fatigued. 4 And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and made them things to stone Satans; and We have prepared for them the chastisement of the Blaze. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord there is the doom of hell, a hapless journey's end! 6 When they are flung therein they hear its roaring as it boileth up, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say, "Of course, a warner did come to us, but we belied him and we said, 'God has revealed nothing; you are in gross error.'" 9 They will say: 'If we had only listened and understood, we would not be among the inmates of the Blazing Fire.'” 10 So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. 11 For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. 12 Whether you speak in secrecy or aloud, (it is all the same to Allah). He even knows the secrets that lie hidden in the breasts of people. 13 Does the One Who is Subtle, All-aware, and Who created all things not know all about them? 14
