By the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 a warning to humans, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Then what is wrong with them (i.e. the disbelievers) that they turn away from (receiving) admonition? 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 No! They do not fear the Hereafter -- 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
