Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead. 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
