He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 Yet for all thou didst know, [O Muhammad,] he might perhaps have grown in purity, 3 Or be admonished, and the admonition profit him? 4 But the self-sufficient, 5 to him thou attendest 6 Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). 7 As for the one who comes to you earnestly (striving for guidance). 8 and in awe [of God] 9 You neglect. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted, Purified, 14 borne by the hands of scribes, 15 Noble and pious. 16 Accursed is man. How ungrateful is he! 17 From what has God created him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 then eased his path for him, 20 Then He caused him to die and made him to be buried. 21 Then, when it is His Will, He will raise him up (again). 22 But no. He has not fulfilled what was enjoined on him. 23 Let man look at his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 Then split the earth in clefts 26 then caused the grain to grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 and fruit and pastures, 31 For use and convenience to you and your cattle. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 on that Day each person will flee from his brother, 34 And from his mother and father, 35 As well as his wife and children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Faces on that Day shall be beaming, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Covered with the blackness (of shame): 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
