Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And the stars dispersed, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, recording, 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
