Destiny (Al-Qadr)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after He Frowned ('Abasa) before The Sun (Al-Shams)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is, that Night of Destiny? 2 The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, (i.e. 83 years and 4 months). 3 in hosts descend in it the angels, bearing divine inspiration by their Sustainer's leave; from all [evil] that may happen 4 It is all peace, until the rising of the dawn. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
