Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
