The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 whereas the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
