In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha, Meem. 1 'Ain. Sin. Qaf. 2 So reveals to thee, and to those before thee, God, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 3 His is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and He is the Exalted, the Grand. 4 The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful. 5 And as for those who choose protecting friends beside Him, Allah is Warden over them, and thou art in no wise a guardian over them. 6 Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day of Assembly, of which there is no doubt: (when) some will be in the Garden, and some in the Blazing Fire. 7 Had God so willed, He could have made all of them one community, but He admits into His mercy whom He wills; and the wrongdoers have neither protector, nor helper. 8 Did they, perchance, [think that they could] choose protectors other than Him? But God alone is the Protector [of all that exists,] since it is He alone who brings the dead to life, and He alone who has the power to will anything. 9
