The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 And Who hath disposed and then guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 We shall make all your tasks easy. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
