Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

By the midmorning, 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
