Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
