Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Noble and recording; 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
