T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 Whatever is in the heavens and the earth and in between them, belongs to Him, as whatever lies under the earth. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses come to you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 I have chosen you. Therefore, listen to what shall be revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses. 18 He said: "Moses, throw it down." 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Allah said: take hold of it, and fear not; We shall restore it to its former state. 21 And draw in your hand to your side; it will come out white without disease - another sign, 22 for We shall show you some of Our greatest Signs. 23 Go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 24
