۞ O men! you are they who stand in need of Allah, and Allah is He Who is the Self-sufficient, the Praised One. 15 If He wishes, He can remove you and put in your place a new creation. 16 this is not a great matter for Allah. 17 No laden soul shall bear another's load. If one is heavy burdened and calls for his load to be carried, nothing of it will be carried, not even if he is a close relative. You warn only those who fear their Lord in the Unseen, and establish the prayer. He who purifies himself, purifies himself for the good of his own soul. To Allah is the arrival. 18 For [thus it is:] the blind and the seeing are not equal; 19 Neither darknesses and light, 20 Nor the shade and the sun's heat. 21 not equal are the living and the dead. God makes to hear whomsoever He will; thou canst not make those in their tombs to hear - 22 Thou art naught but a warner. 23 Verily, We have sent thee with the truth, as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner: for there never was any community but a warner has [lived and] passed away in its midst. 24 If they reject you, so did their predecessors. Messengers came to them with clear signs, with scriptures, and with the enlightening Book, 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved. So how terrible was My disapproval! 26
